Jean-Baptiste Say
Say was a major French classical economist whose writings explored production, consumption, capital, trade, value and entrepreneurship.
His Traité d'économie politique, first published in 1803, became one of the foundational works of nineteenth-century political economy. Say is particularly remembered for Say's Law and for his important treatment of the entrepreneur as a distinct economic actor.
The accompanying Cours complet represents his later and more extensive examination of practical political economy.
Binding & Condition
Uniform nineteenth-century quarter leather bindings with marbled paper boards, gilt spine lettering, rules and decorative devices.
General wear consistent with age, including rubbing and scuffing to the bindings, particularly around the extremities. Internally there is scattered foxing, spotting and age toning.
The three volumes nevertheless present very attractively together and retain considerable period character.
Please examine the photographs carefully as they form part of the condition description.
